VILLA Fuji Kawaguchiko AERO

Cruise with Fuji

If Mt. Fuji could dream, what would she wish for ?
What -and how- would you create with her?

A World Heritage Site with over 100,000 years of history, Mount Fuji has long been revered as a sacred object of profound worship. VILLA Fuji Kawaguchiko AERO was created with the sincere hope that guests, bathed in the mountain’s spiritual energy, will be inspired to give rise to new artistic expressions and creative ideas.

The accommodation reservation page you have arrived at is AERO’s discreet official site— a site unreachable through conventional search engines or AI. Access is granted only to those who hold the MAKIMONO—a scroll limited to just 100 copies worldwide.

While the top page of this website is open for general viewing, access to the accommodation reservation page is reserved exclusively for you, the holder of the MAKIMONO. Should you wish to share AERO on open social media platforms, please use the link to the top page only. Under no circumstances should the URL of the accommodation reservation page be shared.

AERO was conceived as a “Theater” on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko— a place where the world’s leading artists, athletes, and entrepreneurs may come to stay, reflect, and create.

To preserve the integrity and depth of this experience, AERO operates on a strictly invitation-only basis, fostering a refined community of visionaries.

Embracing the spirit of “Ichigo Ichie”—the belief that each encounter is once in a lifetime— we sincerely hope that “the dream Mount Fuji envisions” will quietly descend upon you, our esteemed Guest Crew.

Theater Master, VILLA Fuji Kawaguchiko AERO

There are three rules.

  1. Rule 1 Invitation-only—only holders of the MAKIMONO(scroll) may stay.
  2. Rule 2 The AERO villa will be available for 10 years.
  3. Rule 3 Each person may stay only once in their lifetime.

Stay Plan

AERO is neither a traditional ryokan nor a hotel designed solely for relaxation.
It is a “museum to inhabit”—a place that stimulates your very being and awakens creativity.

Freestyle

This is an accommodation-only plan without meals.
We recommend 4 to 6 guests, though the villa can accommodate up to 8.
Designed by Kengo Kuma, AERO takes the form of an unsinkable cruiser anchored on Lake Kawaguchiko, its bow gently poised toward Mount Fuji, as if in quiet prayer.
We hope that this once-in-a-lifetime voyage at AERO will awaken your Fuji Senses.

¥300,000 per night (excluding tax)

Experiences

This is a fully tailor-made plan, including dinner and breakfast, for up to 8 guests.
All services are provided by Mt. Fuji’s Dream Inc.
Our mission is to collaborate with you in creating a range of bespoke “Experiences” within this “museum to inhabit”, enriching the unfolding narrative that Mount Fuji quietly observes.
Based on the wishes of the Guest Crew, our manager will personally propose a customized plan.

In addition, long-term stays (one month or more), private exhibitions by artists in the first-floor hall,
and pickleball tournaments or practice sessions can be arranged.
Please inquire directly with the manager for further details.

ART

Kazuhiro Fujihara, a descendant of the Kano School—the Edo period art lineage that once captivated Japan—created this “museum to inhabit” together with his lifelong friend of 30 years, world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma.
AERO may be a “museum to inhabit,”but you will not find Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Takashi Murakami, or Yayoi Kusama here. Because the greatest masterpiece is not one that hangs on a wall—it is the memories of your own life, standing before Mt. Fuji,in a moment that will never come again. For there is no work of art greater than a single human life— and that is what the Theater Master believes.

A Message from Kengo Kuma

I designed this villa on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko for my long-time friend, Kazuhiro Fujihara.
Across the water stands Mount Fuji. I named the axis leading toward this preeminent Japanese monument the “Fuji Axis.”

The immense power of this axis reshapes both the architecture and its interior. As a result, we have created a “place” that seamlessly unites humanity, the lake, and Mount Fuji as one.
The resulting silhouette resembles a boat floating on Lake Kawaguchiko.

This boat is a vessel for fully immersing oneself in the beauty of Mount Fuji—and at the same time, a vessel of prayer, rowing out toward the sacred peak.
