Lotus Room
Hideki KIMURA
Be sure to take a close look at the sliding-door painting (fusuma-e) in the third-floor Japanese-style room: Ki-yan’s Hymn to Life (Seimei Sanka). Ki-yan’s works appear most extensively throughout AERO, forming a continuous narrative that begins with the original painting Flying Elephants in the first-floor restroom, flows upward to the Stairway of Carp Streamers along the main staircase connecting the first through third floors, and culminates in Hymn to Life in the third-floor Japanese-style room.
